Meryl Streep playing Tina Fey’s mom in comedy

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Meryl Streep and Tina Fey will play a mother-daughter duo in a comedy to exist directed by Stanley Tucci.

“Mommy & Me” is set up at Sony Pictures, which successfully paired Streep with another young actress, Amy Adams, in last year’s “Julie & Julia.” Plotlines are with less than wraps although it spotlights the thorny and funny sides of mother-daughter relationships.

Tucci, whose directing credits include “Big Night” and “Blind Date,” co-starred with Streep in both “Julie & Julia” and “The Devil Wears Prada.” It’s unclear at this time admitting that Tucci would appear in the movie or due stick to directing.

Fey, meanwhile, is slowly building her film resume, in operation forward features during her life in between seasons of “30 Rock.” “Date Night,” the spring action comedy which also starred Steve Carell, has grossed just over $98 million (63 million pounds) domestically in the U.S.
