Set for release September 13 in the United Kingdom on Rhino, the record is preceded by the single “Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime,” a cover of the Korgis’ 1980 hit. But Corr wrote most of the album, which combines her band’s signature melodic pop rock through a to a greater degree full-grown songwriting sensibility.

“It’session a personal singer-songwriter album, with lots of violin on it,” she says. “The Corrs were levy on gripe because I wanted to start a family, and the album is a reflection of my life since then. When you have children you become greater degree aware of the threat the world can hold.”

A reunion of the Corrs — the Celtic folk-rock quartet of siblings Sharon, Caroline, Andrea and Jim — is possible “maybe next year,” Corr says. She is the second member to release a solo album, after Andrea Corr’s 2007 debut, “Ten Feet High.”
